I LOVE photographing babies! So, when Elizabeth's mommy, Sarah, called and asked me to take her newborn pictures, I was excited!
Elizabeth was just a little pumpkin - she loved being held by Sarah and Mike and we got some great shots of her in their hands.

Painting with Light

I just learned a pretty cool new technique - it requires a pitch black room, a stationary subject, a flashlight and your shutter being open for a super long time.
Anyway, since I knew there was no way my almost 2 year old son would sit still for 20 seconds, I figured this red chair would. The results are pretty sweet - can't wait to try this on a senior in high school!

Feet!

I love little kiddo feet. Whenever I photograph children, I make every effort to capture those chubby little toes - and they're usually some of my favorite shots! Today I was playing around with a new accessory I purchased for my flash and my son, Grant, was innocently watching a video. His little bare feet were just too tempting...here's my favorite shot!

Bride to be...

...and groom to be Lea and Jared met with me tonight. We discussed the details for their upcoming wedding in February and finalized our plans - how exciting!
With our current blanket of snow on the ground outside, we're hoping for a gorgeous snowy day with lots of flurries - hopefully we'll get what we're wishing for!
I'll be sure to post some of my favorite images from their wedding online once they wedding day has come...but, until then, here is a favorite of mine from their engagement session!

Today I'm working on an order for Samantha H. She's a high school senior I photographed a few months ago. Her senior session was extra fun for me, as she's a dancer and I was a dancer for almost 17 years! We had fun playing with her pointe shoes and using creative dance poses. The World of Blogging

When I am not busy (a rare, but sweet treat!) or just waiting for a ton of photos to open up on my computer, I am usually online researching and learning more about the art of photography. I love to learn new ideas and techniques - and with ever changing technology it's fairly easy to come across new ideas every day!

While on one of my online ventures, I discovered the love many of my fellow photographers have for their blogs. I've heard blogging is an excellent way to stay connected with clients, friends and family. So...I thought I'd give it a try!

I plan to update this blog often with news of what we're up to - and include lots of photos for you to check out.
