Well, I couldn't resist taking some photos of our newly expanded family! Here are some of my favorites - these will soon be made into large canvas prints to decorate our home. I love decorating with photos of those who mean so much to me! More photos to come soon!

Mason David

On 4.17.07 we welcomed Mason David into our family! He's a beautiful baby boy and he looks exactly like his older brother, Grant! I haven't had much time to pick up my camera but I wanted to share some photos with you anyway! These were taken by Mason and Grant's Aunt Laurie (I think photography skills run in the family! :)

Posey Purse

I recently started working with Posey Purse out of North Liberty. The owner, Molly, makes custom photo handbags - and they're fantastic! I was so impressed with Molly's ability to create such beautiful bags, considering I really don't even know what to do when I put a needle and thread together! Check out one of her pieces. This was created with a photo of mine, taken of one of my high school senior clients and her sisters. Isn't it adorable?!?
I think these purses are such a great idea for a gift. Hey - isn't Mother's Day coming along pretty soon? :)

Jonah...

...two week old Jonah came to us recently to have his newborn photos taken. He was wonderful! Such a sweet little sleeping baby - perfect for lots of pictures! Check out my favorites:

Every Bloomin' Thing...

...we recently started working with Every Bloomin' Thing, a florist in Iowa City - and couldn't be more happy with their work! They create some beautiful custom arrangements that are super creative! I love stopping in their shop - their work is gorgeous and really inspirational (considering I usually kill most plant I touch - definitely don't have a green thumb!)

Chloe...

...this weekend we had the opportunity to photograph sweet little Chloe. She is an 18 month old little beauty. You may notice the oxygen cord in her photos, this is present because Chloe was born with a hole in her heart, and she is just a beautiful little miracle to be with us today. She was such a happy little girl for her photos!
Throughout her photo shoot, Chloe spent most of her time flirting with my husband, Stephen, but I was more than happy to share him! She's so cute I can imagine mom and dad might have a hard time telling her no!

April Fool!

My parents get me every year...especially my mom...she always calls me with some foolish story that her sweet, trusting daughter will believe and then - WHAM - April Fool gets trown in my face! Well, this morning I finally took my revenge. I called and ended up speaking to my dad (mom still has it coming!) and told him my water broke (baby due in 2 weeks - cruel joke I know, but I was desperate!) He gets all excited and starts to plan what time they're going to leave, as they live 3 1/2 hours away.
But, before I let him off the phone, I let the cat out of the bag and tell him APRIL FOOL! He was completely shocked but, he even admitted that it was a pretty darn good one!
Now - if only my water would REALLY break and I could meet this little guy!
